Soaptown U.S.A. Asks Five Questions Of Your GH Favorites

 Nathin Butler

By: Tom Stacy

Soaptown: So, Ewen’s secret is out: he’s working for Jerry Jacks! And, Jax will be heading back, too.
Nathin Butler: And, it doesn’t end there, trust me [laughs]. I think it will be fun to work with some of the Australian characters on the show, like the Jaxes, Jasper and Jerry. And, Robert Scorpio would be great, too.... if that were to ever happen.

Soaptown: Nice tease! Looking back, there had been hints for a while that Ewen had a hidden Australian connection.
Butler: Absolutely. There was some hinting in a scene with Elizabeth, when our characters had a date in the restaurant, that I was perhaps related to them. I think this should make a nice arc for the character — maybe he has a dark side, maybe not?

Soaptown: Who else would you like to work with whom you haven’t yet?
Butler: I would really love to work with Tony Geary [Luke]. I think he’s a great actor. I’ve been watching him on the show for a few years and he does really great stuff. I think we would work well together.

Soaptown: What’s it like to be a part of GH with all the 50th anniversary hoopla going on?
Butler: It’s an honor to get a role on this show. It’s such a great show. It’s been around for so long; it has such a rich history. The cast and crew are incredible. They’re so experienced and seasoned; it’s wonderful to be a part of all that.

Soaptown: Tell us, Nathin…. What is the hold up with Elizabeth?  He saved her life — and Ewen’s too good-looking not to be getting some action. And, he's a doctor! Come on, now!
Butler [laughs]: I love working with Becky [Herbst, Elizabeth]. I think we’ve got a good chemistry — and that goes for off the set, as well. We’ll have to see what the writers have in mind.
