Hope for the future....not unless
some things change, Brad.

Like the Logan
tramps, Brad is putting his money on the next generation.

Well I, like
hundreds of thousands of other viewers, sat back and bided our time
to see just how Hope was going to be introduced and if it's going to
be done right. Yeah, the Nick/Sandy/Bridget story is great, watching
Ridge squirm is fantastic, and we have Taylor back on the set, but
tell the truth, didn't we all want to see just how this Hope
introduction was going to be handled? If Hope was going to be a huge
rebel or be a soft little sweetie that Ridge just adored?
A
little background on Hope for those who only know part of the story
or bits and pieces. Hope is the bastard child of a nasty affair
Brooke had with Bridget's husband, Deacon. She couldn't keep her
hands off of her son-in-law, told Bridget to her face that her
baby's father was her soul mate and that he was the only man who
ever truly understood her, and that she was deeply in love with him.
Ridge who??? She carried on an affair with Deacon for months and
months right in the halls of Forrester Creations and even gave him a
job there as a high up executive to cover her sins. Married Whip
Jones for the same reason. Bridget found out via baby monitor and
lowered the boom on her mother. I will still never forget the
pitiful, pathetic sight of Brooke sitting on the floor after pushing
out her love child, begging it's stepmother (her daughter) to
forgive her. Called her “Hope”, thinking this child was finally
going to be the one thing that matured Brooke and helped her focus
on her children for once in her life. That, of course, was
Stephanie's idea. She even offered to HELP Brooke with it. So did we
see any of that in Hope's introduction? Nope.
I was a little
disappointed. All I saw was “Dad” this and “Dad” that and Hope
thinking she's entitled to walk the halls of Forrester Creations
because her Mom and “Dad” work there. No hint or even tiniest bit of
a rebel Hope should be after finding out how she was conceived.
She's the product of a disgusting affair her mother had with her
sister's husband and I'm sorry, Brad, but WE NEED TO SEE THAT. We
need to see some bitterness between Hope and Brooke. We need to see
some rebellion in Hope. You're missing a HUGE HUGE opportunity to
bring some sass into this show, some real conflict, some decent
stories. This whitewashing of Brooke's past has gone too far!!!!!!!.
I'm hoping you're just waiting until the proper time to show some
kind of tension between Brooke and Hope, or Hope and Bridget, and
I'm damned sure hoping the writers are going to have Steffy REMIND
Hope of just who her parents really are and how disgusting their
actions were as well as how Hope just really doesn't belong at
Forresters.
I KNOW, I KNOW,
I'm going to get tons of angry emails telling me Hope is just as
much entitled to be at the company as Steffy is. Wrong. Steffy was
right on the money, the Logans are flocking in like cockroaches and
slowly shoving the rightful heirs of the company out. Forrester
Creations is Thomas and Steffy's legacy, even RJ's, not Hope's. I
can see how bringing Hope in to the company to continue the
Brooke/Taylor hate-diatribe is obviously working, but the writers
are NOT going to get away with wiping out Hope's conception or
making us believe that Hope and Brooke are so lovey dovey. I want to
see Ridge turn on Hope to protect his daughter, I want to see Ridge
side with Steffy because she's his flesh and blood, and I want to
see Brooke FINALLY, FINALLY get kicked in the teeth. WHEN DOES
BROOKE PAY FOR THE CRAP SHE'S PULLED????? More on that later.
So Hope's now in
the company, Katie's using her to get at Steffy and we have a
possible triangle happening. I'm actually enjoying the hell out of
the show lately, and the ratings have even gone up proving that most
of the viewers are also sick and tired of the Logan crapola running
around. Did you notice that ratings were shooting up on the days
Bill and Steffy were trash-talking the Logans??? Somebody at writers
headquarters better remember that. If Hope and Steffy are the new
Brooke and Taylor, then somebody better make sure history is
remembered because us old dogs aren't going to buy into it if we're
not placated with at least some kind of memories about the past.
We're not going to stand by and watch Hope be turned into this
loving, sweet little Taylor-ite and not give a darn about her mother
screwing her sister's man to conceive her, nor are we going to
accept Ridge's so-called 'love' for his stepdaughter after the
disgust he had for Brooke when he found out how Hope was brought in
the world. Somebody up there better remember history or the future
isn't going to HAVE any hope in it.
Here's some
random thoughts about last week....
-
1. I love I love I
love I LOVE watching Nick and Sandy. Those two actors play so
brilliantly off of each other, it's amazing. Too bad the writers
have decided to keep Bridget with Nick, a triangle there would be
so exciting as well as Sandy being a much better partner for Nick
chemistry-wise. I like Nicket, but I sure wouldn't mind seeing
Sanick. Those two sizzle on my screen.
-
Uh...can someone give me a valid reason on why Owen and Jackie are
still together, and why they've reduced Brandon Beamer to a boy
toy and his character to a poodle-walker for a sixtyish year old
woman? Owen has absolutely no future. None. No chance of
fatherhood, no possible stories except for a possible affair,
nothing. It seems the writers want nothing out of Brandon Beamer
except for body shots and eye candy, and he's too good of an actor
to be so wasted. Bust up Jowen already. BB is wasted.
-
All hail the
new princess royal, Steffy Forrester. MAN, is she ever her
grandmother's spitting image, or what??? I love what they've done
to the character of Steffy, and I also enjoy the hell out of the
fact that she says she's NOT a Logan, but she's considering
possibly hitting on Bill Spencer sometime soon to try to bust up
his marriage. There's a little bit of Brooke in Steffy, more than
she's willing to admit.
-
Just WHO in the
hell does Brooke think she is, anyway, throwing the word
'impulsive' down on Steffy???? That trash has no business even
breathing the same air as Steffy after the way Hope was brought in
the world, after she mounted her other son in law before even
checking on her own kids straight from the airport, and after the
egg dropping scandal. HEY BRAD, WHEN is Brooke going to lose
something? When is she going to go through heart ache and pain
she's caused other people???? I'm sure hoping you got some trouble
coming up for Bridge, because this is really grating the nerves of
your long time viewers who are sick of continuously seeing Brooke
Logan trash people and end up getting what she wants every time.
The only way most of us will accept this new Hope garbage is if
Hope fully knows how she got put here and she holds even a small
grudge against her mother. Does Hope know about the egg drop crap?
Does she know her mother was kissing her uncle Nick just hours
before hitting her knees begging her 'daddy' to marry her? READ IT
ONE MORE TIME, BRAD. WE'RE NOT GOING TO ACCEPT THIS LOVEY DOVEY
RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN BROOKE AND HOPE. Isn't going to happen.
Brooke may have turned out to be the most loving mother ever now
that she got her WidgeyPoop, but there's no way us mothers across
the nation are going to put up with the total whitewashing of
Brooke Logan over the egg drop crap and Hope's birth. Someone
better fix those fast or the ratings are going to start dropping
AGAIN.
-
5. That being
said, I LIKE the introduction of Hope vs Steffy. I think it's
great for the future of the show to have another round of Logan vs
Forrester. That's why I'm hoping Brad knows he has to address the
Hope Conception thing and the Egg Drop crap to cause Brooke SOME
pain or Hope's future on the show is going to end up like the
other Logans, despised, and trashed. I like Hope. But I want to
see Brooke's daughter, not a mousy little luuuv everyone twit. I
want to see rebel, I want to see what we all know Hope should be
like knowing her mother is trash even if she HAS reformed.
-
Ok, I finally
figured out that I liked Bill and Katie together because I simply
adore Bill Spencer. I guess THAT little fantasy has been shot to
hell, because I cringe every single time the hypocritical, smug,
pathetic Katie crosses my screen. I can honestly say there's a tie
right now on which Logan I despise the most, Donna or Katie.
Notice I didn't put Brooke in that mix. Well, I didn't because
right now I'm actually liking watching Brooke because she's no
longer chasing married men or hurting other people. BORING, but at
least she's not turning my stomach watching her anymore. I do
admit also that I loved watching Brooke Vs Taylor in the Matriarch
modes, Brooke the Logan matriarch and Taylor the Forrester
matriarch both protecting their cubs. Too bad Brooke is a laughing
stock and her daughter is a bastard child whereas Taylor has
always put her kids first and her daughter Steffy and son Thomas
are the rightful heirs of Forrester Creations. Pitiful, isn't it,
that the two families, the Logans and Forresters, are headed by
Brooke and Taylor and that the entire Logan family has done
nothing but infiltrate the Forrester family like a bunch of
cockroaches? At any rate, at least we know Brad's playing on the
next generation of Logan/Forrester hatred. If the Queen ever DOES
come back to Forresters, Hope better look out.
-
Speaking of the
Queen, HEY BRAD, her butting into Ridge's love life is getting
kinda old. DON'T EVEN go there to try to throw Tridge fans a bone,
we're done with Tridge. We want no more Tridge. You had a good
chance to bring back passion, romance and real love in Tridge and
you blew it. You wanted Bridge, KEEP IT. Keep Stephanie out of
Ridge's love life, too.
I'm waiting,
Brad. I'm watching. I'm putting faith in the fact that the writers
are going to make sure us old dogs are well fed because the future
of the show IS NOT in Hope, it's with us old dogs who have vested
years into the soap. The new generation isn't as loyal and dedicated
as us, the newer viewing generation doesn't have any history
involvement in the show. I realize you want to bring in new viewers
and a new generation of Bold fans, but if you keep shoving us older
ones to the side to do it, you're going to be left with a bunch of
fickle fans who will dump the show the minute Sex in the City gets
even hotter. We're watching. And Waiting
Here's a few
funnies for you..........

Until next week,
I’m off to play with my Bold and Beautiful ball.
