Swing back with me, fellow old timers, to the fabulous yesteryears of Bold, when wearing a Forrester gown meant you had elegance, class and wealth, the Forresters had maids and fancy parties constantly and there were no huge sex scandals that put Forrester Creations in National Enquirer every other month. Some of you remember those days, don’t you? Yeah, Stephanie and Eric were having marital problems, yeah Ridge was a playboy and hitting on models, yeah Thorne was still the underling like he’s always been, but darn it, the mere mention of Forrester Creations made you visualize style, class, and wealth. Anyone who was anyone in fashion and in the wealthiest of the world wanted a Forrester gown. Then in comes the <<<CRINGE>> LOGANS.

A blonde social ladder climber from the other side of the tracks who kept a scrapbook of pictures of the wealthy family, who had stardust in her veins and wanted more out of life than a cop’s salary. A young woman determined to infiltrate the wealthy family by any means necessary to be part of the rich and famous. A gold digger, if you will, ready to throw away a man’s love and security over glitz, glamour and being in the spotlight, turning her back on her own mother and sisters to do it. Ahhhh, Brooke Logan. Can’t blame her, really. Her own brother knew she wouldn’t be happy on a cop’s pay. At that point, remember that she wasn’t in love with Ridge. She wanted to be a FORRESTER. That’s all she’s ever wanted. She knew Ridge and Caroline were a couple. It wasn’t until the party that she helped her mother cater that she eyeballed Ridge himself and got shmoozed by the egotistical young playboy that she decided Ridge was going to be hers no matter what. Was it him, or was it his title as heir apparent to Forrester Creations that motivated her?? Obviously we know now after hearing Brooke admit it many times, she wanted and always wanted to be a FORRESTER. Married every single male Forrester in the family to do it, too. Voted Ridge out of the CEO position to stay IN the Forrester family. Yeah, we all know Brooke has been obsessed with Ridge most of her adult life, but there’s one obsession she’s had that’s stronger than the one for Ridge...the FORRESTER obsession.

SO......thirty years later, after thirty years of fame, fortune, notoriety and class, we’re here in 2009 with once again Forresters being sold off because they couldn’t keep their feet above water. And it again is due to a LOGAN. Every since the Logans slimed into Forrester Creations, it’s gone down hill. First Brooke, then her sisters. The only thing Brooke was able to accomplish for Forrester Creations was the BeLieF line, worked on by Ridge as well. The other lines she lays claim to were someone else’s ideas, put into place so she could steal Ridge away from another woman since her body and baby bribes didn’t work. Brooke’s Bedroom was a success, yes. Unfortunately, though, the money it made was drowned out by the high class customers lost due to Brooke’s constant scandals. Being unable to keep her legs together for anything with the Forrester surname cost Forrester Creations its place in the fashion industry as the classy, elegant haute couture kings and they’ve done nothing but slip since then to where they are now, bought out by another company AGAIN. Gone are the glory days for Forrester Creations when you wanted desperately to wear a Forrester gown, or get a Forrester party invitation in the mail. At least thanks to Bill Spencer, Forresters will still ‘live’, if you want to call it that.

Didn’t you love the way Bill pointed out that no matter how good Eric and Ridge are at drawing pretty pictures, they have absolutely NO business sense, and that dumping Stephanie was the worst thing they could have ever done? I loved hearing Bill chew Ridge, it was hilarious. He was absolutely right, both Ridge and Eric couldn’t run a newspaper route. Stephanie was the driving force behind Forrester Creations all those years and I thank Brad Bell for having that put in the transcripts for verification and validation. When it gets to where a piddly little 25 million dollars is hard to raise for an international fashion house that had been profitable enough for Forrester Creations to afford beautiful mansions for all of its family members, it’s pathetic. And you can lay all the blame on the famous Logan Leglockers. You can’t really blame the men, they all think with different parts of their bodies than women do and the Leglockers horn in on it. Thanks to their inabilities to run a company, it’s nearly gone bankrupt HOW many times now with the Logan tramps running loose around Forresters?????

At least FC will be saved thanks to Bill Jr. Obviously now we know that FC was in serious trouble long before Bill ever came on the picture, so it’s a pretty sure bet FC was on its last legs anyway thanks to the Logans. The fun part is going to be watching Katie run the place and make Ridge tow the line. Can’t wait, baby.

Here’s some random thoughts about last week....

1. Were my eyes fooling me or did Brooke’s dress and Donna’s scarf have the same design pattern as the picture drawn on the wall??? I mean COME ON wardrobe department, get with the program!!!!

2. Looks like Bill and Katie have taken the top spot as hottest couple on the show, their sex scenes are steaming up the tube. Especially with the 20s and 30s crowd who have been sick of Bridge for years now. Thankfully, we don’t have to sit through any Bridge sex scenes in the near future. I guess Brad has learned his lesson, right?

3. I’m unfortunately told that Taylor will be an integral part of several stories going on now but won’t have her own story for a little while longer. Know what I think?? I think someone keeps making stupid decisions about the character directions and when it continues to drop the ratings, they have to change things again so they’re just leaving Taylor on the side lines right now until they can figure out how to stabilize the ratings. HINT here, writers...Taylor’s always brought in 3’s.

4. Is it just me or do Brooke and Donna seem just a tad bit insecure and upset that little Katie has her own man??? Awwww, wassa matter, bimbos, neither of you can stand it that Katie can not only get a man but one neither of you can touch??

5. Are you watching the scenes with Bill and Ridge???? OMG, Bill’s magnetism and his cockyness are making poor Ridge look like yesterday’s news. Ridge always looks defeated and defensive around Bill. I love it.

6. OMG, the JackieM crew had me so cheering with them!!! It was so touching watching Nick and his family rally around Stephanie and support her. Just like the old days with Sally Spectra, and only Stephanie could take Sally’s place. Thank you, Brad.

No funnies this week, and I thank everyone for the kind letters of support at the passing of my best friend and husband. He wanted me to continue to do what I love doing, and that’s offering my opinion to those who want to take the time to read it. Next week I hope to get back to the usual and get the month’s PMS’er up and running.
