Even my Brooke fan readers are complaining.

We got it, Brad, you’re going to keep Bridge. We got it, Brad, Tridge is going to stay close and Taylor is the new Forrester Matriarch while Brooke is the head of the Logan clan. We got it, Brad, the Logan witches aren’t going anywhere and the show needs them. I get it, Brad, it took bringing Taylor down a few notches and raising Brooke up a few to level the playing field. What I DON’T get is why you’re continuing to make us Brooke haters despise her even more and Brooke fans continue to wait on something decent and good to happen for her.

Last week was a total Brooke Hate Fest, written to make Brooke a laughing stock, chasing Taylor around, begging, whining, complaining, admitting she slept her way to the top, and not even knowing her own husband threw her under the bus just a few hours earlier at the signing of the paperwork. You know, I really am getting to the point to where I despise Ridge, but more on that later. Like I said, last week, I was so totally feeling for my Brooke readers, I even got mad at the writers myself for the ridiculous way Brooke acted. I know this is going to tick off a lot of my Taylor fan/anti-Brooke fan readers, but I do feel the need to say something in support of .....(gulp) Brooke fans here.

I’m one of the first to admit I can’t stand Brooke. She’s made a history of bedding and whining her way into the wealth and power of the Forrester family. That’s all she’s ever wanted. She didn’t start out to break up Ridge and Caroline, all she wanted was wealth and fame, to wipe out of her mind the pain and embarrassment of a lower class family being raised by a single mother, abandoned by her father. I see how Brooke’s past could easily have made her pull some of the stuff she has to get ahead. (I know I know, many of you think I’m losing my mind here.) Even her own brother saw that she would never be happy living the life she was born into. So she uses her body, her whines, her tricks, her lies and her manipulations to infiltrate Caroline’s world. Not Ridge’s, mind you. Like I said, she never set out to break up Caroline and Ridge. She just wanted in their wealthy and powerful circle. It wasn’t until the playboy lecherous Ridge who felt all women needed to be at his feet in adoration started flirting with her that she fell for him and really, nobody could blame her. Ridge, in his twenties and thirties, was hot as hell, confident, sexy and EXTREMELY hurt-me-HUNKY. Who can blame Brooke, really? She herself was hot, sexy, and a vixen. She was powerful in her own right and didn’t back down to another woman. SO WHAT HAPPENED???

It’s bad enough the writers basically ripped apart her character by writing her to have an affair with her daughter’s husband, one of the nastiest and lowest things a mother could ever do to her daughter. I think that’s what started the downfall of Brooke. Then they brought in Nick to try to redeem the character some, and it almost worked, many of us started to actually like Brooke. Too bad someone on the set got a little ruffled in the feathers and put a stop to it. Brick was hot. What happens? Months later, the writers realized that the Tridge/Bridge triangle was just used up and overdone so Brooke and Nick have a child together, Jack. Too bad IT ALSO was a bust because women all over America were LIVID with the way Jack was conceived even if it was to bring Taylor and Ridge back together up against the New and improved Brick. Once again, it seems someone put the brakes on it. So once again they went back to Taylor and Brooke fighting over Ridge. GEE, BIG SURPRISE there, huh. <ROLLING EYES> HOLY SHOCK, Batman, NOBODY LIKED IT. So the writers had to make a choice and stick with it. VOILA, we have Bridge now for good. Or at least for a while. Taylor gets part of the company and a hot stud who loves her and only her. Pretty good payback, I think, for us Taylor fans. CRAPPY, for Brooke fans, really.

Last week was yet another reason for us Brooke fans to despise her, like I said. Watching her running after Taylor was disgusting, beneath the powerful woman Brooke used to be, and totally ridiculous. She looked pathetic. Especially considering the fact that her husband had just earlier been bragging about how much he needed Taylor and wanted her part of the company, and months before that was hiding little facts from her about the legality of their marriage and wanting to be WITH Taylor. So we have a Ridge who is only interested in what the women around him can do for HIM, and a Brooke who is still whiny, needy, pathetic, and thinks all of the marital problems can be ignored and solved by boinking wherever they happen to be. WHERE IS THE RED POWER SUIT BROOKE??? WHERE IS THE BROOKE I LOVED TO HATE??? WHERE IS THE BROOKE THAT WOULDN’T PUT UP WITH RIDGE’S CRAP, VOTED HIM OUT AS CEO AND DID IT FOR THE GOOD OF THE COMPANY???? (ya’ll remember that one, it ran Ridge over to daddy Massimo’s where he tried to ruin Forresters.) I WANT THAT BROOKE BACK. I’m tired of rolling my eyes at how pathetic Brooke is now and I want to enjoy hating her again. Right now, she’s nothing but Ridge’s ankle bracelet.

Now speaking of Ridge, he’s gone from being a powerhouse in his twenties and thirties to being a big pathetic crybaby himself in the last few years. Seems without Taylor to keep him grounded and focused, he’s turned into a sleeze ball who thinks women are put on earth for his enjoyment. I hope now that he has Forresters back, he’ll stop all the nonsense whining and get back to business. I liked the fact that he treats both Steffy and Hope the same way, it shows that the real only redeeming factor Ridge has is that he’s a good parent and stepparent, but it’s time he stopped enjoying and damned near ENCOURAGING both Brooke and Taylor to fight over him. He’s two faced. Taylor, at least, has finally seen that and I think she’s very disillusioned with him and maybe this is what finally gives her the strength to break away from Ridge and be happy. AND BOY can she be happy with Whip, what a pair.

Either way, Ridge and Brooke certainly do belong together. I just wish we could see some things happening for them that doesn’t make us all want to puke seeing how pathetic they’re behaving. Maybe soon. Right now, I think Ridge as a character has lost tons of fans, tons of appeal and is bordering on being almost an albatross on the show compared to the hot, sexy men who aren’t whining and expect every woman around them to bow at the knee.

 Now for a few random thoughts about last week.

1. IS STEPHANIE OUT OF HER MIND??? DOES SHE HONESTLY THINK ERIC HAS CHANGED???? She has a wonderful career, an adopted family that loved her, and has put up with Eric’s philandering and ogling other women most of their lives. She’s watched him nearly lose AND lose the company SHE helped build time and time again because of his own foolishness yet she still decides to go back to Forresters???? I’m sorry, but I am the #1 fan of Stephanie (and I got the Team Stephanie TSHIRT direct from the set of the Bold and the Beautiful, THANKS BRAD!!!!) to prove it, but dang, to trust Eric again??? Uh…..wait a minute…she DID give birth to Forrester Creations, she did build it, she does have 4 Forrester heirs. AH. I guess she’s back where she needs to be, making sure the Logan trash doesn’t overtake FORRESTER creations again.
2. Speaking again of Brooke, had she not been just bragging about how the LOGANS were running Forrester Creations, I may not have been so happy that she is not going to be an owner. Guess being Mrs. Ridge Forrester isn’t really that important to her anymore, is it??? OH PLEASE, people, I’ve been saying right here in this column for years that it’s not RIDGE FORRESTER Brooke always wanted, it was BEING a Forrester, being rich and famous, being in control. The way she  was emotionally abused in her younger years turned her into a very selfish and immature teenager at heart who needs that control to feel worthy. Brooke couldn’t give a damn less that her husband therefore SHE owns 25%, Brooke wants what she’s always wanted, to FIT IN. to be on top, not just literally but figuratively.
3. Ok, so Hope and Steffy are now the new Brooke and Taylor??? Brad knows where his bread and butter is and that’s with continuing the feud between the good girl/naughty girl, this time through the next generation. ‘Cept this time, Hope is the sweet one, the goody two shoes while Steffy is the hotsy totsy who doesn’t mind doing whatever it takes to get what she wants. MAN, what a twist of fates and daughters, huh??? Look for the feud to heat up between these two and you can just bet it’s going to be over a guy. That’s the MO.
4. Just where the hell is Thomas??? And Thorne??? All we get is Thorne popping in and saying a few lines then out he goes????? HEY BRAD, YOU’RE WASTING ONE HELL OF A TALENT, one hunky looking guy and great storylines! I had heard at one time we were going to see an almost dead ringer for Darla show up and steal Thorne’s heart, a woman who is ruthless and vindictive but in love with Thorne who would take on Ridge AND Brooke knowing Thorne is the real Forrester. WHERE did that go?????
5. I’ve gotten emails from Brooke fans saying Brooke deserves to own part of FC and Taylor doesn’t, that Brooke HAS contributed tons to the company whereas Taylor has a career and doesn’t need Forresters. I’d almost agree with that and I’d say Taylor really doesn’t need Forresters, but a good point was made….she’s protecting her children’s legacy from the Logan tramps who have already proven they’d shove both Steffy and Thomas aside when the need suits them. Yes, Taylor deserves and needs to own part of Forresters. If only to keep the Logan tramps in line.
6. WHAT THE HELL IS WITH BRIDGET???? She is nasty and mean to the woman carrying her child and for stupid reasons. Well, not really STUPID reasons, just insecure ones. I think Bridget is taking the pain and anger she has against her mom and Katie out on Aggie. I don’t think she’s healed from the hurt Katie and her disgusting mother did to her and Nick is right, this isn’t about Aggie and what Brooke went blabbing to Bridget about, it’s about the horrible gut wrenching suffering Bridget is still going through inside about the way her entire adult life has been stomped on by her family, the Logan cockroaches. So Aggie is the one to bear Bridget’s pain and it’s going to cost her dearly. :(
7. AW, did anyone laugh like hell when Katie was screaming SHE wasn’t going to allow this and SHE wasn’t going to allow that??? LMFAO, this chick was seriously on a power trip, wasn’t she? Nice to see she got clamped down on and I for one don’t think the marriage is going to last. Not since the hints of a Steffy/Bill triangle got thrown down.

I got an email from my PMSer who wants another week, and will definitely get us her Brooke fan opinion soon, she had a wedding to go to out of town and wanted everything just right. So here are a few funnies for you and hopefully next week, we’ll get a few reasons we should all embrace the Brooke bandwagon. I know they better be good ones.
