Will the writers actually go there?

Or is this just another plot device???

Boring. Just plain boring. No offense intended at all to the lovely Jennifer Gearis, but Donna is just so totally boring, it makes you want to bottle the character and put it on the market as one of the best sleeping aids since a good stiff boozing binge. Pitting her against Stephanie didn’t work. She didn’t have enough brass to stand up to the Queen. Prancing her around half naked and pouring honey on an old geezer didn’t work. Sticking her with Owen didn’t work. Being happily married certainly didn’t work. Bringing in a long lost son, a biracial one at that, certainly didn’t work because nobody bought it. Let’s face it, the character of Donna is totally BORING. So what do they do??? Bring in Marcus’s daddy hoping for some chemical reactions, some drama and some good soap. Alex, what is “SURE LOSER” for $1,000?. I’m sorry, but Donna is BORING and no matter how FOIYN Justin is, it’s just not working.

So will the writers actually go there? Will we see an interracial couple? We’ve seen homosexual couples on other soaps, and Brad has yet to cross the line with either. He flirted some with Marcus and Steffy, but the chemistry just wasn’t there. Are Donna and Justine actually going to be done, or is this nothing but a plot device to get Stephanie back to Forrester Creations and set up the next generation???? I got a few problems with the way things are being set up, but I’ll go through that later. More on this next generation thing.

I’m sorry but I have to endorse Bridge. There are far more opportunities for storylines with Brooke and Ridge than there could ever be with Taylor and Ridge. Happy is boring! Tridge was the supercouple of choice by William and Brad Bell for years and years. They wrote for Tridge. Once circumstances broke Tridge up and they turned to Brooke and Ridge and their admitted huge sexual chemistry, Tridge could be no more. SO yes, I’m a Bridgie. A huge one. I think this opens up fantastic avenues for Katherine Kelly Lang to do some great stuff instead of the usual hanging on man’s ankles whining about children. I also think Ronn Moss is going to be totally happy playing the mature playboy younger women can’t resist. I’m pretty sure we all know that one day perhaps soon, Brooke is going to be so involved with trying to keep some hot toddy out of Rick and the Forresters lives that she totally ignores Ridge’s needs, who turns to another bed for comfort. I’m just about ready to bet turning the column over to a die-hard Bridgie for few weeks that Ridge will be fathering yet another child one day, perhaps soon.

Until then, though, it looks like some possible stories are being worked on, including the (BANGING MY HEAD ON THE KEYBOARD HERE) possible backburnering of Stephanie, the Queen. Susan Flannery has made no secret that she wants to step aside one day in the near future and perhaps do some more directing, but it looks like there’s still no one strong enough to take her place. Brooke sure isn’t yet. We all want to see some serious paybacks for the way Hope and Jack were concieved before any of us jump on the Root for Brooke band wagon. Donna? Don’t make me laugh. Taylor? Not with Bridge running around, that’s cruel. The way I see it coming down the pike, Taylor AND Brooke will co-exist as matriarchs around Forresters as both of their children will some day run things and own the company. SO.....it looks like it’s going to take both Brooke and Taylor to take Stephanie’s place. That being said, the ground work has been laid. I’m really looking forward to the next few months, isn’t that unusual for me?? AND....hold on to your hats, I’m actually looking forward to Bridge. One little thing though...........I don’t think Brick is over yet. As long as Jack is their son, you can bet Brick will show its head again soon. Count on it.

Here’s a few thoughts about last week, then off to the double dose of funnies I promised you.

  1. Gotta say again, Justin is FOIYN and I’m liking having more of a mixed cast. I’m not liking him with Donna, though. I hope the writers aren’t just using the situation to break up Donna and Eric then Justin fades into the background along with Marcus. Texas Battle is a hunk, I just wish he’d lighten up some. He always looks like he’s forcing himself to be a soap actor, he needs to relax some and sound like himself. One funny thing about Marcus.....Rick is 30 years old and Marcus was supposedly born before him????? UHHHH......hello writers?? SORAS is ok and all but this is kind of ridiculous to have Marcus appearing younger than Rick when we know that in actuality he’s older. Marcus should be what, 35 according to Rick’s age??? good grief.

  2. I’m still seeing sparks with Owen and Steffy and I hope the writers to explore that a little better. I’m thinking there’s something in the works for Stowen and I’m looking forward to it.

  3. Where’s Rick?? All of a sudden he’s Ridge’s best friend, him and Steffy are done with after all that fighting and begging and pleading he did about how she was his one true love, then he’s disappeared??? True Logan, I guess. I was kinda looking forward to him and Thomas becoming rivals. There’s some storylines for ya.

  4. Taylor fans, take heart. Our girl is in for one hell of a story in late October and that’s all I can say!!!!

  5. I’m still laughing my ass off at Eric adopting Marcus. HELLO, where are this man’s adopted parents??? Does he not have any love for the father who held him as a baby, raised him, wanted him, nurtured him and was always there for him? Early on we heard how Marcus had a great childhood but always wondered about his mother. Why on earth now is Marcus so hell bent on becoming a Forrester legally???? UHHH..oh wait..he’s got Logan blood in him...never mind.. ((EYE ROLL))

  6. The Queen is suffering. Some of the best work out of Susan F in a while, and I’m suffering right along with her. I tell you, there’s not going to be a dry eye in the house when the Queen goes.

  7.

  8. Nicket sure is enjoying the hell out of themselves, aren’t they? Right there in front of Brooke, too. I’m sure every Bold viewer knows that nothing stays happy long in Brad’s world, so I’m suspicious that Nicket is going to be getting hit and hit hard soon. I hope not too hard, I like Nicket together almost as much as I liked Nick with Taylor.

Okey dokey, here’s the double dose of funnies I promised you.

Until next week, I’m off to play with my Bold and Beautiful ball.

BOLD & BEAUTIFUL

Justin and Donna. Think Brad's going to go there?

No, he's just using it to break up Deric.
Hell yes, it's time for an interracial couple!!!
Keep Justin, just don't pair him with Dumba.
Who cares?? At least it's not BRIDGE all of the time!!!
