 LOUNGING  N  LA

Bold was like a bad car accident last week, you really don’t want to watch, but you have to.

Sickening, isn’t it? And it looks like it’s going to get worse.

First off, I totally APOLOGIZE if anyone is offended that’s lost a loved one or been hurt in a car accident, but darn it, it’s the only good example I could give about last week’s show. Almost every single one of us driving by a car accident would try to look, it’s human nature. We don’t want to, because we don’t like seeing bad things happen and it’s horrible to see, but it’s just there. It’s human nature to rubberneck and see what’s going on.

That’s the same thing with Bold last week. Egads, NOBODY wanted to see Donna take over Forrester Creations using the POA she kept claiming Eric gave her because he trusted her decisions. HELLO DONNA…..Eric didn’t you the POA because he trusted your decisions, he gave it in case of an emergency to see to his needs. Oh good grief. Can Donna be any more sickening to watch? Even I felt sorry for Ridge when Donna threw them all out. Forresters is a family company, throwing out your only designer and the man who’s run shipping and manufacturing for over a decade is a SMART move? Something Eric would have wanted?? Get real. And I’m sorry, but this Owen character? I’ve had many “oh he’s so hot, Megs, he’s so sexy!” emails I’m about ready to throw up. Brandon Beemer looks like he should be starring in a movie about street dancing or hood gangs, not being lovesot over a forty year old woman. We lost William DeVry for this?? Antonio Sabato, Rick Hearst, Sean Kanan and Mario Lopez for this? We’ve had Kyle Lowder put on a back burner for this? And then to be wasted on DONNA??? Donna’s pushing forty, Owen looks barely out of diapers. Again a mismatched pair. Brad Beemer’s being wasted.

Another car wreck on the show right now is Katie. Can it be ANY more obvious that nobody likes the character? Look on any message board about Bold anywhere on the web. Heather is a fabulous actress but even Elizabeth Taylor couldn’t make Katie likeable. It’s the writer’s faults, boys and girls. They’re ruining tons of our favorite characters and the rage is growing. Somebody better wake up in LA and get that chick off the front burner quickly, get Nick back to the lovable dolt he was before the Brooke Infestation and break up Nicket quickly before more pukefests start. Now for a few random thoughts about last week and I’ll turn the column over to my readers as promised. BOY, was the response overwhelming, I can’t possibly print all of the responses per word, but I’ll try to do as many as possible

1. WHY does Bridget seem to think she has to jump up out of bed and run to the hospital after finding out Katie is getting some random general routine testing done??? What, Dr. DoogieGoogle is worried someone may miss something while she’s gone??? I’m about sick of the halo they’ve put on Dr. DoogieGoogle’s head. I’m sure we’ll see more of her miracles and walking on water when it starts becoming evident that Eric just may not have suffered a heart attack after all.

2. Can Brooke be any more pathetic with her “But Widgey needs a job!!!!!’ cries to Donna? Thorne is just as important to the company as Ridge and I can agree that Donna probably had grounds to get rid of Felicia, but Ridge and Thorne both? That’s totally ridiculous, but what’s even more sickening is watching Brooke beg and plead for RIDGE’S job back.

3. please. Please. PLEASE writers, don’t subject us to a lot of Katie’s crying, sacrificing and martyr’ing for the sake of Bridget’s happiness, we can’t take it. End the pregnancy quickly or end Nicket quickly, both are disgusting.

4. Somebody send Ridge a sugartit. He can’t stand not having a female do his battles for him. Where’s Mommy when he needs her???

5. Is there anyone on the show that DOESN’T see Katie and Nick’s little invisible flirtations??????

6. Marcus and Steffy….THEY’RE ADORABLE!~!!! MORE!!! My mouth is watering wanting a new grandbaby for Ridge and Taylor, especially if it means Brooke is going to hit the roof over it!

Ok, I’ve done my complaining. Here’s some of yours………..

Jolibear says ‘You know for months now, the story I have seen showed….The laid back Katie conversed and played with Nick…Katie laid up at Nick’s house…When not shown, someone told us Katie laid down upstairs..Nick announced to Katie to be laid out and to the beyond…the moral of the story: it matters to me how, where, when, or even WHY Katie gets laid. What matters ro me is that Nick has been HAD.’

Marie complains ‘I would like nothing better than for Ridge and Brooke to end permanently, but where would Brooke go? Surely Nicket and Katie will be going full kilter.’

Linda writes ‘This show has gone down the tubes so fast, it isn’t funny anymore. Donna is just not interesting or dynamic enough to hold the main focus. Ridge is just plain hateful again, Nick has lost his integrity, and Taylor is almost non-existant. There was no point in putting Bridget, the clueless wonder, and Nick back together since we can already smell trouble brewing. I really wish there was more to like about this show but there isn’t.’

Corey comes into bat for Brooke, saying ‘Um, you say that Brooke Logan had nothing to do with Forrester's success because I guess you fail to remember that she created, developed and helped to manufacture the "Belief" fabric, which made un-told millions for the company and was a innovative wrinkle-free fabric that was copyrighted to FC. Her intelligence and not just her body has given her rights at the company that certainly Felicia has never, ever earned. Do not deny Brooke her actual rights and creative successes at Forrester. So many prude people just focus on her sexuality, which, frankly, is hotter then an bonfire. If it were not for her and "Belief," the future of Forrester Creations may have ended a long time ago.’

Janet sends in ‘I must disagree with you. I would love to see Donna steamroll Brooke and Ridge. Ridge is acting like an arrogant bully. I want Rick(cannot believe I am saying this) to run Forresstor while Eric is out.’

Bettye comes in strong with ‘I have watch this show from the start and thanks to Brad Bell, it's nothing but another Jerry Springer ho down. I think Ridge should step up to the plate and run Forrester Creation's, but without Brooke Whoregan. She has did nothing but turn the company into a big joke and her sister Brooke WHoreGan  Jr{Donna}, is following in her foot steps, toe to toe! I think Ridge should be head of Forrester and Felicia it's new CEO. The Whoregan's, along with their Mom and Dad, ought to be run out of town on a rail for bonking anything that has the name Forrester or Marone.’

Shirl drank her morning coffee and wrote ‘I think it is a good thing for Ridge to take over from Eric, with the introduction of power-barbie Dummba, the Eric character has been totally ruined and there really can't be any going back to credibility for him. Erweak has constantly picked his new willy-warmer over his children, which really isn't a surprise as he's constantly put Brooke first, even over Bridget, their daughter, i remember him getting a 'bit' angry with Brooke over the Deacon affair, then Brooke dropped a couple of tears, said ''sowwwy, i made a mistake'' and Erweak crumbled. I would personally love to see Ridge slobber all over models and do the dirty on Brooke with      some hot young thing who sees Ridge as her destiny…true justice!!!’

Zzhoundszz questions ‘how did beth and eric not notice each other at the wedding? We didn’t even get to see them greet each other after all these years.’

MossMaiden gets very stern and writes ‘I’m tired of the constant Ridge bashing, Megs. Ridge was loyal and faithful to his wife Taylor despite her stealing him from Brooke using baby bait Thomas. I’m sick of the constant rape accusations by fans of a true rapist who bedded Brooke on a filthy foundry floor. Ridge is the star of the show and he’s the only reason many viewers watch. He deserves to be the CEO of Forrester Creations.’

JustaClue emails, saying ‘LOVE THE FUNNIES! LOVE THE FUNNIES! HATE THE SHOW. Please keep up the funnies we love them here at my company its more entertaining than watching grown men act like mindless twits around the Logans or watching the Elvis Presley impersonator prance around wanting Brooke to lick his blue suede shoes.’

GAPeach pipes in with ‘Am I the only one around that loves Nicket? Nick and Bridget are so sweet together! I know Bridget’s huge heart is going to embrace the new Kicklette baby and it’s going to be sweet for Nick to have another child.’

DonnaP says ‘Why isn’t Thorne given more to do? I’m sick of Nick and Ridge both. Owen looks like a baby-faced dance crew hip hop wannabee, and Rick is being wasted on an old lady.’

Penelope gets a little angry and says ‘SHAME ON YOU MEGS. All you do is push for a reunion of Brick when Nick was the worst thing that ever happened to Brooke. Ridge is Brooke’s true desitiny and with them together theres nothing that can keep them down. They are powerful together and Bridge will rule the next generation as king and queen of Forrester Creations.’

Well….there’s a sampling, and I’m sorry I couldn’t get to all the letters, you guys are very vocal and you’re the best! From what I hear over at Trixie’s, we’ve got some wild stuff coming up, and I’m not too sure I want to be watching Bridget and Katie fawning over a new little Nick baby. Oh well.

Until next week, I’m off to play with my Bold and Beautiful ball.
