| I was happy and disappointed this year, which says a lot because I am usually dissapointed. I just cannot believe that Thorston Kaye did not win and that AMC lost best show, but come on GH AGAIN for writing. It was the worset year EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

I started off the show sooooo excited to see Vincent Irizarry win... hoped to see him share it with Jacob Young when it was a tie... and the rest of the night was almost all downhill from there...
I was excited and surprised to see Susan Haskell take home the Best Actress Emmy... was so sure that the CW critics were right it would be Jeanne Cooper AGAIN... then was sad at Best Actor - I said to my husband right before the announcement - I would be happy (for different reasons) with any winner except for Christian LeBlanc... and nothing against him, he's just the only one I don't know and don't watch... I think Daniel Cosgrove has turned in a magical performance as Bill Lewis... Tony Geary exemplifies Emmy winner to me... Thorsten is my favorite, favorite actor on any soap right now, and I love his Zack!!... and the fact that Peter Reckell had never even been nominated in 26 years until this year is nothing short of a travesty... and, of course, the winner is the ONE GUY I didn't want to see win... grrr...
Was happy for B&B to win Best Show, but it was horrible that CW cut them off and didn't let Bradley speak on-air about the win... even though I don't watch it much, that is the last little 30-minute "show that could" and I was happy for them...
All in all, I had much more anticipation for the show than it lived up to, both from an entertainment standpoint and from the awards standpoint... but I'm at least glad they did broadcast it on TV... I worried for a while we wouldn't see a Daytime Emmy broadcast at all...

| I think Susan Haskell should have been in the supporting category. Christian is a wonderful actor and deserved to win but any one of the guys in that category could have easily won. I don't think Tony Geary should be allowed to be nominated in lead actor since he's not even there most of the year. I think the show was pretty good for being on the CW. |

No way, Haskell was THE leading actress on OLTL in 2008.
The Emmy's were awful. They always are but this year was so rushed and frantic, 10 second speeches, no acting clips, it was just a mess. |

| What does Vanessa Williams have to do with daytime anyway? All the entertainment shows that had things on the emmys, only showed interviews with people like Ellen and Tyra. They didn't even say who won for any of the acting awards. I guess it shows what the media thinks of daytime. |
